The Aud was a German gunrunning ship that attempted to land weapons in Ireland during 1916. Here is a map of its route from Germany, up through the North sea were it attempted to pass as a Norweigen steamer. However, it was intercepted and sunk off the coast of Cork by the British navy before the rebels could access the weapons.
